Woven object

Each piece is hand woven and unique.

Wesen

The series Wesen plays with different associations of this term. On the one hand, it denotes a tangible organism. However, also something that one can only imagine in thought, something non-objective. Sometimes also one understands an expression in it. Wesen is the attempt of representation of these different and still other ideas.

Sculptural weaving, cotton, nylon and rubber cord.

Wesen Sechs (2023) – 30 x 30 x 6 cm

Illustration (2020)

The possibility of the limit of decomposition in weaving were explored here. The result is a fabric reminiscent of ink drawings.

Weaving, made from black fiber.

Approx 70 x 200 cm – The exact measurement depends on the drapery.

Melt (2020)

In this work, I was strongly concerned with the character of the material. The very thermosensitive thread should interpret a melting in its solid structure.

This artwork was mentioned in New York Textile Month – Talking Textiles (2020).

Weaving,  polypropylene.

Approx 150 x 170 cm
